Cool Spy Gadgets in James Bond Spectre

James Bond just wouldn't be the same without some of the most advanced and somewhat crazy spy gadgets he has with him. Gadgets have always been a trademark of James Bond and the new movie "Spectre" is no different. First of all let's start with some of the cool gadgets you will see in Spectre.

Aston Martin DB10:

The famous Aston Martin makes it's return, however it is a new and improved machine with many upgrades on the previous DB5. The DB10 was actually custom-made for Spectre and contains a devastating rear-end flamethrower plus some of the usual added features.

Smart Blood:

The quartermaster known more commonly to Bond fans as 'Q' injects Bond with "smart blood" which enables her to track every move he makes. This may have been inspired by the real life nano-particles currently used to try and identify cancer cells in the body! Smart Blood is definitely something you'd expect from the British secret service.

Trick Watch:

This gadget-equipped watch is a relatively old standby for Bond movies and has been used by bad guys in films such as "From Russia With Love". Some of Bond's wristwatches have been spectacular and are known to contain a Geiger counter, built in printer for receiving messages, a laser cutter which can come in handy and a brutal detonator for those fantastic explosions. Watch out in Spectre, there will be some more surprises for you with the trick watch!

Airplanes With Snowmobiles:

During one of the best action packed scenes in Spectre you might not even notice one of the best high-tech twists where Bond is actually steering an airplane crashing all the way down a mountain. To achieve some of the exterior shots the airplane fuselages were actually customized to fit some hidden snowmobiles and driven down the mountain as the cameras shot all the action. Don't try this at home! It definitely doesn't look safe in the movie.

These are some of the best spy gear you can expect in Spectre but there are plenty more in this spectacular masterpiece. Without the gadgets, it just wouldn't be James Bond so it's good to see new ideas and designs being put into place. However some of the old spy equipment from the previous movies were just completely awesome so let's take a look at some of those.

Jetpack (Thunderball)

Wouldn't we all just love to have a jetpack? Bond's jetpack is an incredible futuristic device which was used to escape from Spectre in one of the opening sequences in Thunderball. It made Bond more agile and basically more dangerous, however it soon became a fan favorite with many people wishing they could buy their own.

Little Nellie (You Only Live Twice)

This was the famous gyrocopter fitted with terrifying machine guns, missiles and flamethrowers. The funniest part of it is the fact that it actually qualifies as luggage! Bond uses Little Nellie - well flies it - to fight Spectre. It can be dismantled and re-assembled easily for some action packed mid-air combat.

Buzzsaw Wristwatch (Live And Let Die)

There have been many different wristwatches worn by Bond over the years but one of the best and truly loved watches was the Rolex Submariner which contains a pop-up buzz saw and of course a powerful electromagnet which can even deflect bullets!

Prosthetic Nipple (The Man With The Golden Gun)

No idea who's idea this was and it is definitely the strangest gadget Bond has had. Nonetheless it is pretty impressive when Bond has to use it in order to pretend he is Scaramanga who had a third nipple. They did a good job creating this gadget and although it may seem pretty weird, it was a good idea.

Crocodile Submarine (Octopussy)

This is absolutely genius when it comes to getting around easily underwater. If you want to get close to your enemies without them realizing you are a secret agent for the Government then invest in one of these. Not only does it let you move around freely in the water, it scares your prey with them thinking you are actually a crocodile.

These are some of the coolest gadgets used by James Bond over the years but there are loads more. One of which that we all wish we could have is the x-ray sung glasses! Who wouldn't want them when you're walking down the beach in the summer?
